CLARIFICATION ABOUT WETUMPKA HERALD ARTICLE REGARDING SHOOTING
The Wetumpka Herald published an article Monday morning, stating that a shooting had occurred on Sunday at Montgomery Motor Speedway. This was false information. The shooting in question occurred at Montgomery Motorsports Park, which is the drag strip located off of Northern Boulevard in Montgomery. The writer of the article confused the two racing facilities.
The Wetumpka Herald has since corrected their error, but we want our fans, sponsors, competitors, and employees to be sure to know that this violent situation and incident DID NOT HAPPEN at our 1/2 mile oval at Montgomery Motor Speedway off of Old Selma Road.
